St Matthew Gold vs Immaculate Conception Blue
St Matthew did not allow IC to score until late in the 3rd quarter. It was a blowout from the get go. 8 of the 10 Mustangs scored. Cameron had 4 points as the Mustangs go to 2-0 with an easy 45-5 win.

Game 1 St Matthew Gold vs St Cecilia
Game 1 of Cameron's 6th grade basketball season. Things started slow as the Mustangs failed to score in the first quarter, trailing 4-0 after 1. The defense continued to play well all game. Pulling ahead and hanging on for the win in the opener for both teams 28-24. Cameron had a few looks at the basket, but they did not fall. He played the point and took good care of the basketball (only 1 turnover). He grabbed 2 boards and had a few assists. He did cause at least three turnovers by the other team with great defense. Next game on Sunday 12/19 against Immaculate Conception Blue.
U9 Saints Holiday Party
Great gathering for the Holidays with our U9 Saints team. Thanks to the Geiger's for opening their home to the team.

Catching Up Here
Boys keeping us busy as are the holidays. Griffin got to go to his first OSU/Michigan game and him and I had a blast. Was a little cold, but the big win by the Bucks made it worth it. On to the Sugar Bowl! Both boys are in basketball now, Cameron on one of the 6th grade St Matthew teams. Griffin on a team put together with a few of his baseball teammates. It is still nice to not worry about the sack of crap that is GJLS. Things are coming along nicely with the U9 and U12 Saints baseball teams. Now to upload some pics from recent events.

Steelers vs Browns Heinz Field
My first attended Steelers game in over 10 years and my first game at Heinz Field. Great day for football and the Steelers spanked the Browns 28-10. Doc and I went and had a great time. Thanks for the tickets Bob!
Game 3 2010 NLDS
First home playoff game in Cincinnati in 15 years. I had to take the boys to see this. Even though the Reds fell 2-0 and were swept by the Phillies. It is so great for the Reds to matter again!

AAA Championship Game Cardinals vs Diamondbacks
Rain came around 3 but luckily not enough to hurt the field. The championship game went on as scheduled. The diamondbacks came back with the same two pitchers. They seemed to not throw as hard as Monday night. The Cardinals went with a rested Devon Lee who threw 3 shutout innings. The Cardinals were able to get 3 runs in the two innings their starter went. They had to go to their second pitcher an inning early. They would have to find someone else to pitch after their hammer. He shut us down and going to the 6th, the Cards led 3-1. In the top of the sixth, the Cardinals plated 4 runs (three coming on a bases clearing double by Mason Hall). The Hall's drove in all 7 runs (Austin drove in the other 4). Trey gave up 1 run in two innings of relief and Cameron shut the door with a scoreless 6th to wrap up the win 7-1! Great job boys!!
Cardinals vs Diamondbacks Playoffs 10/4
The Diamondbacks won their game in the losers bracket and came back out to face the Cardinals again. Although now the Cardinals would have to be beaten twice to take the title. The Diamondbacks put the ball in play a little and the Cards kicked the ball around some and fell 9-5 setting up a winner take all on Tuesday 10/5. Good thing the Cards used plenty of pitchers during the season instead of hanging on 2.
Cardinals Vs Diamondbacks Playoffs 9/30
Great game by the Cards. Devon started it in the first with a mammoth 2 run bomb. The pitching took over from there. Trey Henry and Cameron combined to throw a no hitter and the Cards won 3-0 advancing to the Championship game!

First Day Of School 2010-2011
Hard to believe Cameron is in Middle School now. He's matured quite a bit in the past year. Griffin enters third grade at Royal Manor and is at that school without his big brother. Great surprise to see Sue White as Griffin's bus driver this morning. Leaving the baseball board it will be nice to still see her every morning. We know that Griffin will be in great hands going to school!

Mechanicsburg U8 Coach Pitch Tournament
A hot weekend in Mechanicsburg for the U8 Gahanna Rec All Stars final tournament of the summer. 6 of the families decided to make a weekend of it at the Holiday Inn Express in London, Ohio. The tournament director was nice enough to schedule our two pool games back to back but with a later start, so we were able to sleep at home Friday night.
Our first pool game was against Enon. Some base running mistakes cost the Lions 4 or 5 runs and that turned out to be the difference as Enon edged the Lions 9-7.
The Lions got the bats going a little more in our second pool game against London. Pulling away in the 5th inning to win 12-7. With the 1-1 record in pool play, the Lions were given a #2 seed.
Then it was back to the hotel where the boys (and some parents) had a blast in the indoor pool.
Sunday morning a storm rolled through around 8:00 and our 10:00 start time was pushed back to 1:30. Since there was nothing to do at the hotel, some of the boys went swimming for an hour, and as the first elimination game against Mechanicsburg got started, I wondered if the pool was such a good idea. The Lions seemed to be asleep on their feet, falling behind 9-1 after two innings. But then the bats began to heat up and the Lions slapped some leather and came all the way back to win 15-10.
Next up was #1 seed Fairbanks. Again, Gahanna found themselves down big, 6-0 after 1 inning. But before you knew it, it was through 4 innings and the Lions had pulled even 12-12. From that point on, the Lions took over, cruising to a 20-13 win and a spot in the championship game for a rematch against Enon.
The hits were few and the runs were hard to get. The Lions plated a run to go ahead 1-0 in the 3rd. Enon scored two in the top of the 4th and took a 2-1 lead. The Lions found themselves down for the third straight game on Sunday. Gahanna busted out in the bottom of the 4th and with some timely hitting and some aggressive base running, blowing the game open with 7 runs (max allowed in an inning per tourney rules), and took an 8-2 lead into the top of the 5th. After setting Enon down with only one hit, they came to the bottom of the 5th only needing 2 runs for the run rule, and that is exactly what they did. 3 straight hits to start the inning, the last one to score two runs ended it. The Lions win the Mechanicsburg tournament 10-2 and finish the tournament 4-1. They finished the tournament season 9-5 and won awards in 2 of the 3 tourneys they played in (3rd in the Gahanna tournament and 1st in the Mechanicsburg tournament). GREAT JOB LIONS!!

Gahanna U8 Rec All Star Tournament
One of my favorite weekends of the year. The Lions welcomed team from around Central Ohio to Gahanna for their annual U8 Coach Pitch Rec All Star Tournament. The Lions got underway by thumping Bexley 16-2 Friday night. They then jumped all over Teays Valley Saturday morning 20-10. Saturday afternoon they came up just short against New Albany team 12-10. This setup a must win to get into the championship against Plain City on Sunday morning. The Pioneers displayed some serious leather and eeeked out a 3-0 win. Gahanna then had a rematch against Teays Valley for 3rd place and outlasted the Vikings 13-11 to take home a team trophy and individual medals. Great job boys!!

A Major All Star Game
Griffin was selected to his league's All Star Game by his teammates and team parents. He was on the gold squad with three of the U8 Rec All Star team teammates. The game was played at Academy Park so the boys could experience the lights. Great night of baseball for all. Griffin's team won 8-5. Griffin was 1 for 3 and pitched a scoreless inning with two strikeouts.
Gahanna U8 Coach Pitch Tournament Team @ Teays Valley Tournament
Another July weekend in Teays Valley. Always a good time at this tournament. Griffin is the only returning player on this year's all star rec tourney team. First game saw a lot of runs scored and some ragged defense by both sides. In the end, Plain City won 24-16. Next pool play game was against a good Southwest Licking team. The Lions played much better defense and had some timely hits to pull out a 10-9 win. The 1-1 record in pool play got them the #8 seed. First up Saturday evening in elimination play was the 9 seed Bexley Lions. Gahanna handled them easily 15-3. Sunday morning we had the #1 seed Chillicothe Vipers. A couple of routine plays botched by the Lions extended a couple of innings and the Vipers eliminated the Lions 15-5. Overall a pretty good showiing by the boys. 2-2 and they made it to Sunday. This weekend, Gahanna hosts their own tournament at Academy Park. Should be a great time.
Saints vs Hilliard Panthers
The Saints wrapped up their season on 7/7. Although they dropped the game 7-2. The team can say that they were playing better at the end of the season compared to the beginning. The 3 coaches were given wooden bats with the kids names engraved on them as a thank you.

Central Ohio Saints vs Fairfield Union Falcons

Saints get a much needed win, sweeping the season series with Mustangs 9-7.
Central Ohio Saints vs Pickerington Predators Maroon

Cameron's Last Day @ Royal Manor (5th Grade Clap Out)
Royal Manor has a great tradition that they continued with the 5th Grade Clap Out. The students and staff line the halls and the 5th graders walk the halls and eveyone claps them out. So glad Griffin got to see his big brother honored. Marsha and I and some of the other parents waited outside of the front door and they came out to more clapping and cheers. Marsha took pictures and I clapped and fought back tears with a lump in my throat (I will have no chance come High School!!). Congrats Cameron! Mom and Dad have never been more proud of you!!
Red Sox vs Pirates Game #6
Red Sox played the Pirates. Griffin continued to pound the ball (triple in the first) and pitched a scoreless 4th inning. Close game and the Sox fell 4-3.
Central Ohio Saints vs Pickerington Prowlers Pickerington Tourney Semis
A rematch in the semifinal of the Pickerington Tournament. The Saints jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The bats went silent and a few mistakes on defense did the Saints in. Cameron pitched great the first three innings, only giving up 2 earned runs. Saints fall 11-4.
Game #14 Central Ohio Saints vs Pickerington Prowlers Pickerington Tourney
Second game in the Pickerington Tourney. Very close game. Jared pitched awesome and the saints squeeked out a 5-4 win.
Game #13 Central Ohio Saints vs Ohio Sharks Pickerington Tourney
Saints start their second tourney against the Ohio Sharks. A very close game that went to shootout rules. Cameron pitched the last three innings of the game and even got out of a bases loaded nobody out jam by striking out two and picking a runner off at 2nd base. Saints fall 7-6.
Thursday, June 3, 2010
Game #5 Red Sox vs D Backs
Game 5 for the Red Sox against the Diamondbacks. The sox forgot their bats. Plated one run in the first and that was it. Griffin had a couple of hits and pitched a scoreless 5th inning. Red Sox fell 6-1 to go to 2-3 on the season. Next game on Saturday against the Mets.
Game #12 Saints vs Pickerington White Tigers
2nd game against the Picktown White Tigers in a week. After almost coming back and beating the Tigers last week, the Saints felt confident. They jumped out to a a big 12-4 lead after 4 innings and then held on. A bad storm came and ended the game in the 5th inning. SAINTS WIN 12-8! Next game in the Pickerington Tournament against the Ohio Sharks on Friday.

As school gets ready to give way to summer, Griffin's class performed a play. Marsha went to watch.

Marsha's friend Sherry and her son Jack came over and went to Creekside for the day. Perfect day for getting in the creek. Very warm Saturday in Gahanna.
Game #4 Red Sox vs Blue Jays
The Red Sox got off to a fast start as Griffin led off the bottom of the first with a Home Run to right center field. They built a 6-0 lead after 2 innings, but could not hold on as the Blue Jays came back to win 9-7. The Red Sox fall to 2-2. Next game against the Diamondbacks.
Game #12 Central Ohio Saints vs Westerville Warhawks Silver
First home game of the season for the Saints at the St Matthew field. Westerville Warhawks Silver visits. The game got off to a bad start as the Saints defense gave extra outs again and found themselves in a 7-0 hole. This time they could not climb out and lost 13-3. Cameron went 2 for 3 to raise his batting average to .433. Next game on Wed June 3rd at home against the Pickerington White Tigers.

Game #11 Central Ohio Saints @ Pickerington White Tigers
What a game! The Saints were down early, trailing 9-0 after 2. They chipped away and started to string together some hits. Good base running along with some key hits helped them climb back in it. Down by 6 going into the top of the 6th, we scored 4 and had runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. Scott hit a shot, with speedy Evan scoring from 3rd but our luck ran out with a perfect throw that got Peter at home to end the inning, leaving us one run shy of tying it up. Saints fall 16-15 but they looked so much better and made it very exciting. Cameron had a fabulous night at the plate, going 3-4. He hit a double to left, a triple to right center and a single down the 3rd base line. Griffin had a game too so unfortunately he and Jim were not in attendance. I had to keep the book so only got a few pics of the final team huddle. Next up, the Westerville Warhawks Silver Thursday night at home.

Game #10 Central Ohio Saints @ Licking County Cardinals
Saints left their bats back in the 614 area code. one bad inning in the field and no hitting (only 5 hits) led to an 11-1 defeat. Next game Wednesday @ Pickeriington against the White Tigers
Game #10 St Matthew vs Northern Stallions
With the division decided the day before, the Mustangs played out the string on Monday, looking to have fun and to go out with a win. At Matthew had some timely hitting and built a 9-4 lead going into the 6th. Scott retired the first two batters and then Tom brought in Patrick (Stewie) to get the last out and give him a chance to pitch for the first time. He proceeded to walk the bases loaded, give Tom hear failure, and then struck out the next guy to end the game. Great season Mustangs! 8-2
Game #9 St Matthew @ St Pius
In the game that will decide the division championship, The third time trying to play this game and Mother Nature finally gave us good weather. In a close game (1-1) until the 4th, both defenses played great and pitching was on. St Matthew busted through for 4 runs on a triple and an error alowing Evan Ryan to come all the way around. St Matthew was up 5-2 in the 5th and rolling. All seemed like it was going our way. Then, things changed. The umpire went down with an apparent achillies injury and could not continue. We tried to find another ump and could not. So one of the St Pius parents called the plate, and I called the bases. But when we started back up, it seemed like all of the Mustangs mo was gone. St Pius plated 4 runs in the 6th and won 6-5 to clinch the division championship.
5th Grade Tourney
St Matthew entered a diocese tournament at Sills Park. Tough draw with St Pius first. Only had 9 players to start and then Chad and Bryce had to leave in the 5th inning so Tom put Griffin in to play 3rd. He played well and even fouled off some pitches from kids 3 years older than him. The Mustangs lost 9-8 in 8 innings.
Griffin called up to play with AA Timber Rattlers
Griffin was called up along with his Red Sox teammate Dominic to play with the AA Timber Rattlers. Griff went 0 for 2 with a HBP and the Rattlers won.
Griffin Game #2 Red Sox vs Indians
Did not have the camera for Griff's first game. His Red Sox beat the Rays 15-3. This game was much tighter. They fell to the Indians 8-6 to go to 1-1 on the year. Griffin is having fun with his new teammates.
Tuesday, May 18, 2010
Central Ohio Saints @ Fairfield Union Falcons
A nice Saturday morning for a game, out in BFE (Thanks you know who! A hole). Saints fell behind early 5-0 but battled back even. The defense bugs continue to haunt the Saints. Give a team 7 outs an inning and you will struggle. Saints fall 15-9.
Finished the St Paul tied first game
St Matthew scored 2 in the top of the 8th and Cameron shut them down in the bottom half to win 9-7. Mustangs stay in first place at 7-1 and have two games remaining if the rain ever goes away.
Royal Manor Choir Musical
Cameron had his 3rd, 4th, 5th grade Choir Musical. Great show put on by the kids.
Monday, May 10, 2010
Game #7 St Matthew vs Northern Stallions 5/10/10
St Matthew made up an earlier rain out against the Northern Stallions. Cameron pitched the first three innings only allowing 3 unearned runs. The Mustangs pulled out an 8-4 win to go to 6-1. Next game the game that will decide the division championship @ St Pius on Thursday.
Saturday, May 8, 2010

Game #9 Central Ohio Saints at New Albany Eagles 5/6/10
A much better game for the Saints. The defense still is struggling. Cameron, Joe and Nick pitched great and threw strikes. New Albany plated 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to pull out a 16-15 win. Cameron was 2 for 3 with a walk, stolen base, and 2 RBI (Maybe this should be hidden). Next game for the Saints is 5/15 at Fairfield Union.
Thursday, May 6, 2010
Game #5 St Matthew vs St Brigid 5/3/10
Back to Sills Park. Cameron has played against teams from St Brigid 5 times in basketball in the past two years, and once in baseball this year. Still looking for the first win against them. Finally the Mustangs got some timely hitting and great pitching and won 7-3 to run their record to 3-1 and in first place in their division. Next game Friday against St Agatha in UA.

Saints First Tourney: Battle in the 'Ville 5/1/10
First tournament for the Saints. It was tough sailing the first game with the defense really having trouble. The Saints fell to the Columbus Sharks 19-4.
The second game the Saints scored two in the top of the first and then Cameron was taking a throw from the catcher down at second and the ball tipped off his glove and hit him in the eye. It was pretty bad (is still swollen pretty bad as I type this Sunday night). He was done for the game. The Saints were within two, but again the defense had troubles and the New Albany Eagles pulled away 15-7.
The third game put the Saints up against the Westerville Wildats. I am so proud of Cameron playing this game. His one eye was nearly swollen shut. He had a hit taken away from him by a nice play by the second baseman. Westerville won 8-0. With Griffin's First Communion and the rush when I called Marsha and told her about Cameron, we forgot the camera, so no pics of the tourney. But here is his eye.

Game #5 St Matthew vs St Paul 4/30
Another St Matt's game at Sills Park vs St Paul. A rematch of the first game of the season (that will now be continued in the 8th inning, we have to break the tie we were told). St Matthew led early and St Paul came back late. The tied it in the top of the 6th 3-3. St Matthew had a walk, a hit batter, another walk, and Jesse was hit to drive in the winning run. Mustangs go to 3-1 and play again at Sills Park on Monday.
Game #4 St Matthew vs St Agatha 4/23
Cameron was back on the diamond with his St Matthew team. Great game. The Mustangs broke out the bats (including a HR by Evan Ryan). Cameron had a couple hits and pitched one inning in relief. Mustangs won 11-1 to go to 2-1.

Game #3 Central Ohio Saints @ Pickerington Predators Maroon
Great night for some baseball out in Canal Winchester. Cameron started tonight, and the first inning started pretty good with the Saints pushing across 2 runs. The bottom half started great also as Cameron retired the first two batters. Then a couple errors and a couple walks and before you knew it, they were down 6-2 after 1. Cameron pitched the first two innings only, allowing 9 runs (Only 2 earned). The Saints found themselves trailing 9-2 going to the 3rd. That inning the Saints erupted for 6 runs, including a bases clearing double by Cameron (that's 5 RBI in 3 games). It was all tied up 9-9 going to the bottom of the 4th and a couple errors did the Saints in for good this time. Final score Pickerington Predators 13 Saints 9
Next game Saturday morning against the Southwest Stallions.

Game #3 St Matthew vs St Pius
A rematch of the 4th grade championship game. The game had an extra special feeling since 3 of Cameron's travel teammates play for St Pius. A very well played game that The Mustangs has a few timely hits and great pitching. The Mustangs won 7-5 to go to 1-1-1 on the young season. Cameron was 1 for 2 with a walk and a double (yes, another one). He pitched the 6th inning and closed the door striking out two including the last one on his first knuckle curveball. Next game Friday.
Saturday, April 17, 2010
Game #2 Central Ohio Saints at Westerville Warhawks Silver 4/17
Game two for the Saints on a very cold and windy Saturday morning. The Saints bats were as cold as the wind chill (low 30's). Walks did in the Saints pitchers. Westerville won 11-1 on 4 hits. Cameron was 0 for 2 with a ground out and a pop out. Next travel game Wednesday at Pickerington Predators maroon.
Game #2 St Matthew vs St Brigid 4/16
2nd game for St Matthew. Played at Sills Park near Obetz. The Mustangs seemed to hit the ball right at St Brigid players all night. Cameron was 1 for 2 with a double (Can't hit eh?). Next game on Monday at home against St Pius.

Griffin's Story
Griffin wrote a story for a school assignment. He picked a story he had heard a couple years ago and put his own spin on it. The stories were submitted with other schools. There were over 700 stories and Griffin's was one on the 15 chosen to be performed by the Columbus Children's Theater. We were invited to the premeire at the Dublin Rec Center.

Ryan's 16th Birthday
Where does the time go? Seems like just yesterday that my brother came out to the waiting room and told us boy or girl by announcing: "Big Jim and the twins"! We went to BD Mongolian for his dinner. I had never been and found it to be very good! Nice to have the whole family together. Happy Birthday Ryan!!
Game #7 Celtics vs Wizards
Griffin's last game with his Celtics. Two players missing, so he had a lot of playing time. He was active on the boards and had more than a few baskets. Great season Griffin!!

Game #6 Celtics vs Bucks
Griffin's 6th game. Had more than a few baskets and a couple rebounds. Last game next week against the the Wizards.
Game #10 St Matthew vs Delaware St Mary's
Last game for the Mustangs. They had trouble getting the offense going and seemed as sluggish as the weather. Did not help that their head coach decided to quit and not coach the second half either. Even though Delaware St Mary's only had 4 players for the 2nd half, the Mustangs fell 32-21 to finish 6-4.

Game #9 St Matthew vs St Vincent
St Matthew's 9th game. Rematch of a game won earlier by the Mustangs over St Vincent. Cameron sat the first quarter but not much for the rest of the game. St Vincent led 7-2 after one. St Matthew pulled even 13-13 at the half (with all 13 points for St Vincent scored by one player). The second half belonged to the Mustangs defense. Cameron ended up with 2 points, 4 assists, 5 steals and 5 rebounds in the 27-21 Mustangs victory. Up this Saturday, final game against Delaware St Mary's.
Game #5 Celtics vs Jazz
Griffin's 5th game. He had a few baskets and him and Evan and Colby became real good at two of them taking off when the third one grabbed the rebound on the defensive end and getting a lot of layups. Last game this Saturday at 10:00.

Game #8 St Matthew vs St Paul 2/13/10
Second game vs St Paul. A very close game that seemed like it has about 100 jump balls. Cameron rolled his ankle pretty bad in the second quarter. Proud of him for gutting it out. Missed Bryce Twente who was on vacation. Mustangs lost 20-16 to fall to 5-3. Next week against St Vincent.
Game #4 Celtics vs Grizzlies 2/13/10
After a week off due to the weather, Griffin was back on the court as the Celtics took on the Grizzlies and his friend Jeffrey Cover. Griffin had a couple baskets and did a good job getting out on the fastbreaks on offense. Next week it's the Jazz at 8:30 am (yuk).

Game #7 St Matthew vs St Michael
Back at St Paul for the Mustangs 7th game. A rematch of a game played in December against St Michael. The game was ver slow starting. St Michael got hot in the second and took a 14-10 lead into the half. Not much scoring in the 3rd and the Mustangs trailed 18-14 going into the 4th. The shots finally started to fall and the Mustangs turned up the defense, and gutted out a 26-19 win. St Matthew goes to 5-2 on the year. Cameron chipped in with 2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and a pile of assists. Up next, St Brigid and hopefully some payback.
Game #3 Celtics vs Suns
Griffin was back at Shep Naz this morning. His Celtics took on the Suns. Griffin had 2 baskets today. Today was also picture day for Griffin and his new haircut. Celtics back in action next Saturday early at 8:30 against the Wizards.

Monday Night Raw
Taking the boys to Monday Night Raw tonight. Can't imagine what I will see.
What a great time. Great seats, and a very cool show! I was surprised at how many "normal people" that were there. We saw some of the boys friends there, Jake McDonald and his dad, also saw Tony and Jack Lind. Brian Henning (AKA The Scarlet Swoosh) was in the house as well.

Game #6 St Matthew vs Delaware St Mary's
Another game at St Catherine (our last I hope). Cameron sat for only about 2 minutes today. Another solid game 5 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals. St Matthew played great defense and got enough shots to drop and pulled out a 20-15 victory to run their overall record to 4-2. Back at St Paul next Saturday vs St Michael at 1:30.

After St Vincent chipped away and took a one point lead in the third, St Matthew clamped down on defense and pulled away in the 4th and won 26-17. Mustangs up their record to 3-2. Next Saturday they return to St Catherine to play against Delaware St Mary's.
Game 1 Celtics vs Lakers
Griffin's first game vs the Lakers at Shepherd Naz. Griffin is on the same team with his friend Evan. Him and Evan and Colby worked well together and made more than a few baskets. Next week they play against the Rockets. Cameron had a game at the same time so I had to bust out the old camera.
Griffin is a Celtic
Griffin is playing for th Celtics in his league a Shep Naz. He was happy to get #5 so he can be Kevin Garnett. Made me wear my KG jersey to his game today. Second pitcure is us showing off our 5's (Cameron is wearing 55 for St Matthew)

2010 Rose Bowl
The experience of a lifetime! Sweating in hot sun at an Ohio State football game on Jan 1. Outstanding. The Rose Bowl always looked so big on TV, but it is not. Holds less than the Shoe. Parade was something everyone should go see live once. Traffic in southern California is stupid. Way to congested out there. Buckeyes made me proud. Not so much fun to go from 70 degrees to negative wind chill!
