A much better game for the Saints. The defense still is struggling. Cameron, Joe and Nick pitched great and threw strikes. New Albany plated 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to pull out a 16-15 win. Cameron was 2 for 3 with a walk, stolen base, and 2 RBI (Maybe this should be hidden). Next game for the Saints is 5/15 at Fairfield Union.

Game #5 St Matthew vs St Brigid 5/3/10
Back to Sills Park. Cameron has played against teams from St Brigid 5 times in basketball in the past two years, and once in baseball this year. Still looking for the first win against them. Finally the Mustangs got some timely hitting and great pitching and won 7-3 to run their record to 3-1 and in first place in their division. Next game Friday against St Agatha in UA.

Saints First Tourney: Battle in the 'Ville 5/1/10
First tournament for the Saints. It was tough sailing the first game with the defense really having trouble. The Saints fell to the Columbus Sharks 19-4.
The second game the Saints scored two in the top of the first and then Cameron was taking a throw from the catcher down at second and the ball tipped off his glove and hit him in the eye. It was pretty bad (is still swollen pretty bad as I type this Sunday night). He was done for the game. The Saints were within two, but again the defense had troubles and the New Albany Eagles pulled away 15-7.
The third game put the Saints up against the Westerville Wildats. I am so proud of Cameron playing this game. His one eye was nearly swollen shut. He had a hit taken away from him by a nice play by the second baseman. Westerville won 8-0. With Griffin's First Communion and the rush when I called Marsha and told her about Cameron, we forgot the camera, so no pics of the tourney. But here is his eye.

Game #5 St Matthew vs St Paul 4/30
Another St Matt's game at Sills Park vs St Paul. A rematch of the first game of the season (that will now be continued in the 8th inning, we have to break the tie we were told). St Matthew led early and St Paul came back late. The tied it in the top of the 6th 3-3. St Matthew had a walk, a hit batter, another walk, and Jesse was hit to drive in the winning run. Mustangs go to 3-1 and play again at Sills Park on Monday.
Game #4 St Matthew vs St Agatha 4/23
Cameron was back on the diamond with his St Matthew team. Great game. The Mustangs broke out the bats (including a HR by Evan Ryan). Cameron had a couple hits and pitched one inning in relief. Mustangs won 11-1 to go to 2-1.
