Mustangs start slow and come up just short in the comeback, fall 14-13. Records stands at 1-1. Griffin added 7 points and had 6 rebounds and 4 steals.

St Matthew wins 28-22 to go to 2-1. Cameron added 12 points including 2 3 Pointers.

Cameron had 5 points but the Mustangs come up just short 34-32 to fall to 1-1 on the season.

Mustangs win 30-26. Cameron was 4 for 5 from 3 point land for 12 points.

St Matthew vs St Brendan (Final 4th Grade Football Game)
What a great way to finish. St Brendan came in undefeated, 7-0. They whooped St Matts the last time they met 34-6. This time the Mustangs defense came to play. After a scoreless first half, Griffin made a crucial diving catch on 3rd down on the last play of the 3rd quarter to make a first down. Two plays later Luke Baker busted lose for 73 yards and a touchdown. It came down to 4th and goal at the Mustangs 2 yard line and the defense held as the Mustangs upset the Dolphins of St Brendan 6-0. Great season Mustangs!!!

St Matthew 4th Grade Football Scrimmage vs New Albany
Griffin had a great scrimmage tonight. He caught a TD pass and had 4 tackles, 2 for loss including a sack. He also broke up one pass.

Tough game against a HUGE St Brendan team. Mustangs fall to 0-2 with a 27-6 defeat. Griffin did have one bright spot with a fumble recovery on defense.

St Matthew vs Western Irish 4th Grade Football Game 1
Sunday marked Griffin's first football game. The Mustangs moved the ball a little, but turnovers did them in as they fell 8-0. Griffin had 4 tackles (1 for loss) and 1 forced fumble. Next game is Sunday at 1:00 against St Brendan at Ready HS.

6th Grade Tournament St Matthew vs St Michael
A back and forth affair, St Matthew jumped out 6-0 and even led by as many 7 early, but St Michael was able to get back in it with some rebounds and 3 point plays to only trail 13-11 at the half. The basket got a little small for the Mustangs in the 3rd quarter, and then after leading 23-20 with about 1:30 left, some crucial turnovers doomed St Matthew. St Michael pulled out a close 26-23 win ending the Mustangs season. A great team effort all season by the boys. Thanks to Bill, Doug and Tim for all of their hard work with the boys all winter.
